How about those Blackcats!!!!!!!!!! After years of waiting for something good to happen to Prestonsburg baseball, it finally has. The new coach Shane Simpkins and his team of Les Stapelton, Steve Shelton and Billy Blackburn these kids have people they can repect and learn from. Repect is earned not given, when you get to old to learn that. It's time to go home a give up. How glad I am for the seniors.

Wilson looked dominant at times. Good win for Prestonsburg. They played a good game. Middlesboro had their chances, bases loaded with one out in the 5th and 6th innings, but didn't have anyone step up.
Good luck next round PBurg.

Wilson is an excellent PITCHER (not just a thrower). His command of his breaking ball is excellent, and he mixed his spots and pitch selection very, very well. Prestonsburg was off balance most of the day. Batters struggle with lefties on the HS level alot of times anyway, and Wilson has a slightly quirky delivery that is tough to get a feel for. I would love to know how many back door curves he threw for strikes. Then, just when Pburg batters would be looking for it, he would bust them with a fastball on the inside corner. Very impressive performance.
This was a great game. Great crowd, great atmosphere, and good win for the Blackcats. Middlesboro has a very good team.
Good luck, MHS, in the rest of the year.
