The New England Patriots are in talks to trade wide receiver Randy Moss to the Minnesota Vikings, FoxSports.com reported on Tuesday, citing unnamed sources.
The deal is being held up because Moss would have to sign an extension with the Vikings, according to the report. The seven-time Pro Bowl receiver is in the final year of his four-year deal with New England and has voiced his displeasure at his limbo status.

Great News for Viking fans...I used to like Randy a lot when he played for the Vikings the first time around, back in the Culpepper and Moss connection days.

Why do I get the feeling that the Patriots will end up with five No.1 picks somehow?

This is a good deal for both squads. Hoodie Bill wanted him out of his locker room, and Favre needs Moss in his!

This is a great move for the Vikes. They have to win this year or it's back to the drawing board. Without Rice, the vikes have no threats in the passing game. Harvin is not a polished enough WR to be the #1 guy. Add in Moss to stretch the defense and all of a sudden Harvin is a weapon again in the short routes and Shiancoe is effective in the middle void left by the safeties. This will open it up for Peterson as well. The pats aren't throwing to Moss because Belichick knows his defense is not good enough. They have to do more ball control on offense, plus they see Brandon Tate as a deep threat.
