Elisha Justice named Gatorade's Player Of The Year
#31
EJ is a great high school player best in the mountains, but EJ is not tall enough to be a big D-1 player , yes i know he is going to the ville just like Kreps for KY got a Scholarship his Senior year. One question would you build a team around Justice or Scott Co Jackson? Best wishes in your college endevor EJ been fun to watch.

I can see your point to an extent, but Jackson turns the ball over way too much to run the point for a D1 team.

Congrats EJ

I just don't get why people just cant simply congratulate the young man for his accomplishments instead of taking shots at each other

Congrats Elisha you deserve it, your a great ball player and a great person in general!

Krebs made scholarship this past year! I bet Krebs is not complaining one bit.

by the way Elijah and his family are happy, so what is it to you guys? He will still be playing D1 and getting a great education. How many of you haters can say that? He will get playing time... but if he don't, I know him, he would be happy learning the game from one of the best. Then one day you will see him in big time coaching while you guys are still here crying about EKY kids that YOU don't think is any good.

Congratates EJ!!

I doubt Pitino recruited him to be the next John Wall. However I am sure he can be like Travis Ford was when he played at UK.
Peyton Siva is the same size as Justice. He was recruited to run the offense and not turn the ball over. If he can give UL 8 points and 5-6 assists a game by the time he is a junior I am sure they will be pleased with him.

i for one will just say congrats EJ. when we came to valley to play this year, i just wasn't impressed, until THE GAME STARTED!! you are awesome, and your team is also. the 15th region is represented by the team it should be this year. anything less would not be justified. again, CONGRATS!!

Elisha is getting a lot of awards but I will bet you this victory tonight that put Shelby Valley in the final 4 for the first time in history is worth more than any award he has in his trophy case!

Who knows what Justice can do, just look at 5'9" Devan Downey, he to was Gatorade Player of the year for his home state, if I'm not mistaken.

Tenacious Z Wrote:I just don't understand why he'd rather walk on, get ZERO playing time at Lville, and have to pay for his education, then play for some OVC school and probably be a solid player on a full scholly

I'm pretty sure he has a full academic scholarship, but I could be wrong.
And I don't see your logic. I'm a UK fan, but passing up playing for a legendary coach that has a great track record for producing solid coaches, AND play in a power conference and countless big stage games? Sorry, I would sacrifice minutes for the opportunity. Besides, I think he'll produce for the Cards toward his junior-senior year.

Congrats Elisha!

go ahead and give Elisha Mr Basketball and enjoy watching him play on Saturday night
he is a special player, no matter where he is from
if your from the "city" get over it, Elisha can play with anyone in the country

Let's not push it.

If Justice wants to coach, he made the right choice.

Pitino is the best when it comes to the coaching tree!

Good for them, He's good and the real deal. But saying he can play with anyone in the country is a lil biased
#52
no its not biased. he played against floridas starting 5. hes going to a d-1 basketball school. he may not be able to outplay any freshmen in college basketball, but i gauruntee he can play with them
#53
Congrats to Justice on a well deserved honor. This just goes to show how much hard work really pays off.
