I guess Holmes not running up the score has hurt them. Beating a solid Hazard team by 13 obviously did not count for much.
Shelby Valley received recognition, but I am sure that the EC ranking still ruffles their feathers.
GRC has the top record and has beaten every team they have played in the 10the, including Mason Co, Scott & Campbell County, yet they find themselves 6 spots lower than Mason Co.

I am wondering if Shelby Valley has ever been ranked that high before, I
have not seen it. In my opinion, Scott Cty and Holmes should be ranked #1
and #2 with Eastern,Jefferstown,Ballard,Boone Cty, EC,SV,and Corbin fighting
for the other spots. On any given night any of these teams can jump up and
bite you. Ky high schools are well represented here.

I certainly think this is one of the most even years in a long time. I do feel that the Holmes and Scott County are at the top, but as you said, the rest of the top 25 is a crap-shoot.

IMO, these Cantrell rankings have always been suspect!!

Holmes ranked 5th is something I'll never understand.

I agree.
I just don't understand how you can rank Holmes that low. Their season has been much too impressive to be ranked at 5.

Imo they should be number one.

I agree with that also, with Scott County at number 2.

I agree Holmes should be #1 and Scott.co #2

Agreed.
I'm as big a Shelby Valley fan as anyone on here, but no way should they be ahead of Holmes. Neither should Elliott or Eastern, for that matter. I'lll buy Scott Co. being ahead of them, but that's it. Holmes is no worse than #2.
My opinion is you have Scott Co. and Holmes at the top, Eastern as the solid #3, and then a slew of teams all bunched up together. Ballard, J-town, Valley, Mason, Clark, Elliott, and Bryan Station are all really close to each other.
