Conference
In no Particular order:

BL- Loses Case, Newman, Keathley, and Lafferty to Graduation(4 of 5 starters), Head should have a nice year next season...

SF-Lose Akers to Graduation(20ppg), Young Players got some much needed experience, which IMO, will pay big dividends next season...SF will be more of a TEAM next season IMO...

AC- Loses Hammonds, Crum, Cole, and Turner to graduation(2 best players, 4 out of the first 7)...The Crowders and Prater should have pretty good years next season...No shooters and No PG will hurt them more than people think...

P-burg- loses Hall, Stephens, Clark, and Rodebaugh to graduation(3 starters, 4 out of their first 8 or 9)...Burchett could have a good year, but defenses will tend to key on him alot...Jody Tackett should have a good senior year...

From what i have seen with small schools (SF) you go through transitions of having a good team and then not. When you have 20 kids try out and just over 250 students in the school. You can not expect them to be great every year. I know that some people will say will they have been good for some time, but everyone has to go through rebuilding. I seen great improvment in them the last few games and in the district that they have alot of YOUNG talent and will only get better. Coach Hall has won two all a's and district titles so i think he knows something about the game. I don't care what you think about a coach, you have to have experienced players as a group to win EVERY night. Once again why do we have to be negative?

I am hearing that if Piarst doesn field a team next year Magoffin will move to the 58th and Betsy Lane will go to the 59th if not this coming season definately next

Prestonsburg lost Jordan Hall, Taylor Clark, Nathaniel Stephens, and Josh Rodebaugh. The Blackcats return Michael Burchett, Jody Tackett, Austin Gearheart, and Steven Patrick.

Allen Central lost Aaron Crum, Alex Hammonds, and Clinton Turner.

Betsy Layne lost Jared Newman, Brennan Case, Samuel Keathly, and James Micheal Lafferty.

I notice you have Senior after player of the year. Are you saying a Senior is the only one who can win Player of the year? In baseball underclassmen win it, is basketball different?

Yeah, only a senior can win it, unless there are no seniors or any thats worthy i suppose....In the 58th boys, only seniors have got it for as long as i can remember..

Prestonsburg will have incoming freshman Joseph Jamerson , who should help the Blackcats out some.

Its typical that everyone picks Pburg to be last, it always happens, and Pburg usually always ends up in the 15th regional tourney.

Nobody's hating on P-burg, they just dont return much next season...But, you do have a point they usually end up in the Region Tourney most of the time:thumpsup:...

I'm definitely thinking we will be better than betsy layne. They are losing everyone with the exception of Josh Head, and they didn't make it out of the district with that team.

Betsy Layne didn't lose anything, but a bunch of bad attitudes IMO! They will return more than they loss: Head, Slone, Tibbs, Richie Tackett, Maldinado and Martin, all who saw quality Varsity minutes in 08
