Who are someone of the best that did not play basketball for Clay County because they drop out of school or what ever the case maybe. And I am sure other school have had good player that did not play for high school

Why would you want to speculate on the coulda, woulda, shoulda guys? We have players like that here who waste their talent or just don't want to show up for practice or listen to coaches.

No one cares or remembers the ones who quit or didn't play in any sport !

Tim Wagers...not sure how good Wagers was when he was in high school but when he was in his 20s-30s he was pretty darn good. There's a reason Clay Co. used to scrimmage against Wagers, Denver Word, Joe Lyttle, Darrel Maxey, Larry Henson, Thomas Combs, Glenn Bishop, etc. NO need to go out of the mountains to play when you could go up against this crew!

You got that right nedreader! There were some old men teams in CC back in the 90s that could have won the 13th region.

Much better games than the high school regular season games.

There were some battles and nobody took it easy on anyone either. Not a lot of fouls called either. It sure made the teams of the late 80s and early 90s a lot tougher.
