I don't post things about Christianity very much, because I prefer to stay out of religious controversy that I have seen on here before. But I was studying this verse a while back and decided to share my notes on it.
Luke 13:35 KJV:
"Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
God laid this verse upon my heart. When I read it, I remembered something that I have heard many times.
"Our God is an on time God."
The beginning of the verse talks about a desolate house. Many of the kids in my generation are growing up in desolate houses.
Parents are divorced, sin is in the household, and there is a broken home. A desolate home, as the Bible says.
Even many of our church kids are praying earnestly for their families to be saved from hell and become a servents of the Lord. They are getting impatient with God, waiting on him to move in their lives and their families lives.
But I promise you, if you seek the face of God earnestly and don't give up on him, it will come in time. God knows the perfect time for everything, and he has a plan for every situation.
It may not be your will, but it will work out to the good.
Romans 8:28 KJV:
"And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose."
So many think their situation is useless. No help can be given. I have a brother like that, who thinks that his life is just not worth living and that there is no help for him. I pray for him daily that the Lord will change his life and heart. But I know my God is a miracle worker and a healer and he can take the darkest of situations and turn them around. Nothing is "impossible" with him.
Desolate homes can be healed through Jesus, but you gotta trust in Him that he will help you with your problems when the time for it comes. You have to have faith.
The last part of the verse I shared says that blessed shall be those that cometh in the name of The Lord. If you will seek God's face, you will be blessed.
When you pray in the altar, most choose to pray for other people. But look at your life. Look at your desolate household. Pray for your life and your situation. Pray earnestly that God will turn it around, and he WILL.
Seek God yourself, then ask for prayer from other people in the church. Chains have and will be loosed through prayer! There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain!
Healing is coming.. a revival is coming.. wait on the Lord, and it will be the best decision you'll ever make!
