How long until Bourbon receives credit?
#61
Much respect to BC on the fantastic season thus far. Any team that makes it that far is worthy and will have a ccompetive chance of advancing.

Well I see Bourbon is coming to THE POND CREEK NATION. If youve never been here get ready the fans are loud and proud. The Pirates always fill the other team out in the first Qt. Then we adjust and its over. I do respect Bourbon for there record and coming this far, but its play off time and its hard to count the times Belfrys been here. This is one of the best offence of lines Belfrys ever had. The defence will hit you hard, the take pride in those big hits. I would call them head hunters. But good luck to them they will need it

Bourbon has a lot of respect from the Pirate faithful. I know many who have already been watching any Bourbon footage they can get their hands on.

Bourbon is a very good football team and they already have my respect. If they defeat Belfry this Friday at CAM, they will have everyone's respect.

HSFOOTBALL Wrote:Let's don't get started on this. Let me remind you that Belfry was blown out at home by a less than mediocre Henry Clay. Bourbon has taken care of business in every game this year. They didn't blow Bath out, but they still won the game. You play who you play, Bourbon didn't tip toe through their "terrible" schedule, the fact they are 2nd in the entire state in scoring margin should tell you that they were well out of the league of most of the teams they played.

Scoring margin can be a bit deceiving. When you are up by 42 at the half and keep your starters in the entire third quarter that can boost the "Scoring Margin" you refer to. Bourbon is a Good team that will have to play their best game of the year to beat Belfry. Their weaknesses are their O-line play and their pass coverage. Bath Co. stayed close with their passing game taking advantage of undisciplined CB play. I wish the Colonels the Best of Luck.

Burbon has earned Much respect by making this far. I just don't see them matching up physically on the LOS Belfry is to strong and efficient. And they do have the ability to pass the ball. I will be at the Cam Friday to see what I expect to be a very good game. Good luck to ALL.

Umm ok you retard, you said I need to reread before I start write. Before you critisize me look at your own mistakes and as for your smart ass attitude I really hope you have enjoyed this little season because after friday has passed Bourbon will be moving on to basketball season. So what they have went undefeated against some weaker teams. I simply said they have earned my respect if your brain can process that. But as for recognition they need to beat someone because there are many teams that go undefeated but do they get recognized once they have been beaten by a solid team. Next time provide a solid answer you idiot.

Let me remind you that us pirates actually proceed to make progress and literally get better each week. Yes, we got blown out by Henry Clay however we also have improved. We beat one of the top 3a teams by a similary score last week. So lay off pal you'll see the outcome friday. Haha you say they have taken care of business. Here is a tip, play somebody. Don't bother replying trying to convince me you have because you honestly haven't. As far as the HC reference look at the Bath game "buddy." I'm sure Belfry would have no trouble with them even at that point in this season. If you're going to come at me, try a little harder.

Interested to hear thoughts on Hodge as a head coach. Being in his first season and taking over a team that was on the rise based on last year's record it is probably way too early to tell just how good he is. Would Bourbon Co have been playing this Friday night without him or has he made the difference? Asking because I hear people say that he is a very good coach, but also wondering if he may be just the beneficiary of an unusually talented team. Hard to tell from a distance with a program he just took over rather than one he built. Good luck to Bourbon Co. and congratulations on a great season so far.

When lazyboy speaks, the Bourbon nation better listen! The grammar speaks for itself! It's precise and oh so very nice! Bourbon nation just got a lecture! HE JUST DID THIS :ChairHit: to Bourbon Nation, and Bourbon nation did this :concentratetongue: until Bourbon nation went all :redboxer: and lazyboy actually turned into :problemgirl:

Now see when I was at Bayside, I had a lazyboy recliner in the basement. We did high school radio broadcast from there. I loved that recliner. Made me all sweet and comfortable. I hear they sell some great lazyboy recliners in South Williamson... is this true? If ANYONE should know it would be lazyboy.

This should be an excellent game! At the end though someone is going to be :Sad04: I hope it's not LAZYBOY!

I think the interaction between Belfry-Bourbon has been productive. I smell an annual series! MAKE IT HAPPEN ATHLETIC DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR TONY SOSBY! MAKE IT HAPPEN! AN ANNUAL SERIES BETWEEN BELFRY-BOURBON. AT THE CAM ONE YEAR! AT ADENA SPRINGS THE NEXT! It would be great!

In 50 and half hours they will have there shot. They better bring it because Belfry is going to demand respect!
#73
Zach i can't even take you serious lol. you might want to get you a lazy boy recliner from Williamson because after this season bourbon won't be near Williamson for another 10 years

It's all in fun lazy boy! Hey gotta make my time last! Maybe they got layaway! And I can rent it or something! Need a king sized bed for me and Kelly!

I think Bourbon got their answer tonight..

Great season Bourbon County. You have a lot to be proud of. Get back in the weight room and start for next year.
#77
Did Bourbon find what they where looking for on the field at Belfry. RESPECT is a very big word and hard to get and hard to carry. Hopefully we will see ya again next year BC
#78
I have little to no respect for the Bourbon program other than their players. The way they ran the guy out of there that built this team was pathetic. Johnny Poynter built this team from the ground up. We will see how good of a coach Hodge is 2 years from now. This was Poynter's team for better or worse. If they are still on the same level in 2 years then they will have my respect.
#79
Credit for what? Going 12-0 against inferior completion and then getting destroyed by the first real good team they played? Two weeks from now, nobody outside of Paris will not only not remember, but they won't care about what Bourbon Co. did this year. Hodge better know a good mechanic because his Cadillac is going need one heck of an overhaul.

Back to the drawing board for Bourbon...
