Thats so awesome, unless this tournament is weaker than normal this is HUGE..Is this the year Johnson has an actual shot at a state title?

Also heard jimmy preston finished third at 152 and jordan young went 4-1 and finished 7th at 140

Hate to say it, but, yeah, it was quite a bit weaker than usual.

Vestavia Hills, Ala. quit coming a few years ago, Rock Hill, SC & Martinsville didn't come back.

The weateher/road conditions kept some away ... Turner Ashby, Blacksburg and Galax all had state champs recently but were last-minute no shows (B'burg and Coeburn coaches brought the kids that had parental waivers signed). Sheldon Clark & McCreary Co. were also no-shows.

Wow sounds like this went from a top notch individual tournament, to a normal weekend dual.....

I hope they build it back up to how it used to be. It was very prestigious.
