To much money for someone of his age and the way he performed like season but that is where Jeter belongs and I'm glad to see him get the deal done.

Definitely.
He's done a lot for the Yankees and I think he's deserving of this contract.

Jeter wanted more money and more years, the Yankees got what they want here both in terms of money and years as the Jeter camp finally accepted the fact that they had no leverage and was not getting what they wanted.

Jeter and company knew they weren't going to get what he asked for.
They threw out something crazy so they could meet in the middle.
IMO he got exactly what he set out to get.
He was coming off of a 10 year/189 million dollar deal.
A 3 year/51 million dollar deal is almost the same salary.

Jeter wanted the 10 year contract because he knew in 3 years they wont be another team in the league to pay him that much. He is no longer worth it.
