Trinity rolled to its 20th state championship, tying Highlands for the most in state history, by mashing Male 38-0 in the Class 6A finals Saturday night at WKU.
Trinity has won 8 titles in the last 10 years under Bob Beatty.
Sophomore quarterback Travis Wright completed 19 of 22 passes for 179 yards and 3 TDs. Hunter Kopp had 7 catches for 108 yards and a TD.
James Quick led the ground attack, rushing three times for 155 yards, including a 95-yard TD on the first snap of the game. Derek Bishop ran for 82 yards and a TD, and he caught a 19-yard TD pass.
Trinity outgained Male 491 to 136.

Even with the obviously prejudicial realignment, Trinity should be in fine position next year.
