Bryant was later asked if his statement was accurate by reporters in the locker room and he stood by it.

"Yes, so leave me the **** alone about my [expletive] knee," Bryant said.

Lakers coach Phil Jackson saw it another way.

"I'm pleased with the progress of Kobe, it looks like his offense is coming along," Jackson said after Bryant scored 20 points on efficient 8 of 16 shooting. "Defensively he is still working on some things that he has to get done with his strength and base.

"He's not 100 percent, but that's nice of him to say it."

Bryant did not care for Jackson's assessment.

"I'm 100 percent, I don't give a [expletive] what he says," Bryant said with a laugh. "Leave me alone about my knee. I'm fine."
Best team in the league with their best player at 100%

In the preseason he looked slow, but I've watched 3 of their 4 games and he looks healthier every game.

Last night he was smooth and had that quick first step, something he didn't have in the preseason.
yawn... he's getting old and his game will slowly decline from here on out..
^Yawn.....
I take it 32 is the new 40?

Kobe | 23.8 Pts | 6.0 Rbs | 3.3 Ast
Lebron | 20.4 Pts | 4.6 Rbs | 7.2 Ast
D Wade | 22.4 Pts | 5.2 Rbs | 4.2 Ast

Looks like Kobe is doing just fine
His 100% is not Phil's 100%. When he gets there watch out. 100% or not, he's clearly the best player in the world.

I am so happy to hear this, and really want Kobe to be at his best. This way there can't be any excuses.............
They never were any excuses to begin with.

I think we forgot to mention they are down their starting center at the moment Wink
Phil says Kobe is not 100%

We play better when Bynum isn't in the lineup, IMO.

I think when he comes back we should bring him off the bench, but he'll probably turn into a crybaby.

Those two guys can't agree on anything. I bet there is issues in the locker room that we are getting ready to hear about....

Yeah, if what I'm hearing is correct, Kobe is having Phil fired ASAP for not saying his knee is 100%.

Kobe sure looked 100% to me. Christmas day should be a good game.
