After the hiccup to Boston in the first game of the season, the Heat have reeled off 4 straight, outscoring their opponents by 91 points in that stretch, which was just noted on the NBA network as the greatest point differential over a four game span in the history of the NBA.
^Impressive.. Rudy Gay is so overlooked as an elite player..
Heat rolls on to the next one!!...
^Another player that scores a lot of points because he is on a bad team...
^ Rudy gay can ball.
^He definitely can....
but stick him on a team that's a contender.
No way he gets 20 points a game....and whoever he's guarding will probably score quite a few on the other end because he's a defensive liability.
^ i think he still gets his points. And most scoring threats are not defensive threats. There are a few exceptions.

Kobe, Lebron. Etc...
^I heard Charles Barkley say it best when talking about the Hawks last year.

He says....
"You're never going to be an elite team in the NBA when your best player is Joe Johnson. If he's your 3rd best, you're pretty good."

I think Rudy Gay is kind of like that.
He's putting up good numbers but IMO it's because he is on a low level team.
Kobe would be in the same boat then..
His defense is not up to par at all IMO...
Just because you don't Kobe, who is clearly the best player in the world, don't mean you should make ridiculous statements like that.
