CLASS 6-A
1. Trinity (6-1). Shamrocks not likely to give up this spot.
2. St. Xavier (5-2). Nice game by QB Alex Mattingly last week vs. Butler.
3. Male (5-2). Rare Thursday night game vs. Southern this week.
4. Ballard (5-2). Can't afford to overlook Seneca this week with Trinity awaiting.
5. Eastern (4-3). Not enough weapons to go with Jon Davis.
6. PRP (4-3). How do you rank team that beat Manual, lost to Doss? Here, I guess.
7. Manual (3-4). No clue what to think of this team.
8. Seneca (5-3). Here's hoping DaMarcus Smith is OK after shoulder injury.
9. Butler (4-3). Gets rival PRP on Friday.
10. Fern Creek (3-4). Might be turning things around, but schedule stiffens now.
11. Southern (2-5). Offense much improved over last season.

CLASS A-5-A
1. Martha Layne Collins (7-1). Whipped rival Shelby County last week.
2. Holy Cross (8-0). Only undefeated team in Louisville area.
3. Central (2-5). Still trying to hit its stride.
4. Western (5-2). Wish Warriors played Central this year, but they don't.
5. Oldham County (4-3). Still team to beat in a tough district.
6. DeSales (3-4). Big test vs. Christian Academy on Friday.
7. South Oldham (6-2). Might be Surprise Team of the Season.
8. Jeffersontown (4-3). Still has work to do to catch up with Oldham County.
9. Bullitt East (4-3). Chargers might have turned things around.
10. Bullitt Central (5-2). Tough OT loss to Anderson County.
