Not completely. Wayne and Garrard only have 1 district loss apiece. If Somerset beats Wayne County next week they will lock up the district.
Very solid game for Somerset again last night. Except for drive the starting defense shut down Garrard's offense. The last touchdown came when both team's JVs were in. Offensively Erik Manning was off target a little bit on the first couple of drives but got on track and made some beautiful throws downfield. The game got pretty chippy in the second half when Garrard seemed to give up on beating Somerset on the scoreboard and decided they'd rather fight. The officiating crew let it get out of hand but no one was hurt or ejected. District Title at stake next week and it'll be alumni-Hall of Fame night at the Briar Patch.
Somerset is making it look easy this year.
