Many. INT on the 3 lost the game with a chance to win. Camels gave up 2 KO TD returns, and two long TD runs. They played better than Ryle on the Raiders hometurf, but playing better is little consolation!

agreed in the end it's still a "L". But the camels could pick up the 3 seed if they keep playing like this

After tonight, I still think it's a crapshoot. All of the 6A teams can beat each other.
Ryle junior running back Travis Elliott scored three touchdowns and the Raiders ran out to a big lead, but Campbell County almost stole the victory in the second half.

Elliott returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown, as Ryle jumped out in front early and built a 28-10 halftime lead.

Campbell County outscored Ryle 20-7 in the second half, and had the ball with under two minutes remaining with a chance to take the lead.

With 1:30 remaining in the game, Ryle’s Tony Burtraw intercepted a pass on the 2-yard line to seal the victory.

Elliott finished the game with 242 yards on 23 carries. Ryle senior quarterback Conner Hempel finished with 137 yards on 16 carries and one touchdown.

Ryle, ranked No. 2 in the Enquirer Northern Kentucky area coaches’ poll, plays host to Simon Kenton on Oct. 8.

Campbell County, ranked No. 9 in the poll, plays host to Conner Oct. 8.

Elliot left the game in the fourth after a blindsided hit. If he is hurt bad enough to not play next week, it could be bad news with SK on their schedule. Hope the kid is all right and back on the field next week.

A lot of the talk was that he broke his jaw, but all indication is that it's a concussion.

Not a sigle person I talked to today that said they have ever seen a harder hit in football. These coming from the Camel coaches and many of the Raider coaches at today's JV game (Which the Camels won)
Congrats Ryle.
