St. Xavier High School football coach Mike Glaser confirmed Monday that Tigers defensive back Daylen Hall has committed to the University of Kentucky.

Hall, a member of the Class of 2011, was a second-team All-State selection by The Courier-Journal last season. The 5-foot-10 170-pounder finished with 66 tackles and seven interceptions and also scored seven touchdowns, including four on kick returns.

"He can do just about anything," Glaser said. "The big thing is that he's extremely talented and has great speed."

Glaser said Hall also considered Louisville, Cincinnati and Boston College. The coach added that Hall likely will play either cornerback or safety at UK.

"He feels very, very good about it," Glaser said. "Now he's got it out of the way and doesn't have to worry about it this season."

Hall is the fourth member of the Class of 2011 from Kentucky to commit to the Wildcats, joining Eastern tight end Jon Davis, Paducah Tilghman receiver Josh Forrest and Bryan Station lineman Darrian Miller.
