Font Size: LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Shelby Valley star Elisha Justice and coach Jason Booher have been named the top player and coach in the state by The Associated Press.
Justice averaged 20.1 points while helping Booher lead Shelby Valley to the state championship.
Justice saved some of his best play for the state tournament. He was named the Sweet 16's Most Valuable Player after averaging 24.3 points during Shelby Valley's four-game run to the title.
Justice called the season a dream come true. He has committed to be a walk-on at Louisville next year, though he has received some late interest from Kentucky coach John Calipari.
This is the second straight year Booher has won state coach of the year as Shelby Valley went 32-4.
