From Jason Frakes' blog:
* Ballard 64, Eastern 62, final: Lyonell Gaines' tip-in with 4 seconds left pulled the Eagles within two, but they had no timeouts remaining to stop the clock. No. 1 Ballard (27-4) advances to face Manual in Friday's 7 p.m. semifinal. Ian Chiles had 23 points to lead the Bruins. Remy Abell and Gaines both scored 14 points to lead No. 3 Eastern (21-9).

I knew this would be a battle. We have played both teams. Lost to Eastern by 7 and then beat Ballard. Both have great teams. Easten could win most other regions if they were in them.
Ballard was rated 3rd in state and Eastern 7th in Dave Cantrall Lexington Herald ratings.
A really big game.

The fact that Ballard can put 9 different guys in the box score in a game big as this is the reason why they're the best team in the state, IMO.
With that kind of depth, it's going to be tough for ANYONE to beat them if they get to Rupp.
Wish I could have went to see this one!
Wow. What a game. I really think that Eastern has had a very successful year. Great game tonight just came up a few buckets short. Ballard is just soooooo deep.
Figured this would be a great game as well.
Would have loved to have been able to attend this tournament.
Congrats Bruins!
Congratulations to both teams in a well fought, tough game but Ballard is the one to move on!
As the tradition continues in this region, Male and Ballard advance.
Congrats Ballard
7th is stacked congrats to Ballard
Sounds like another great game Congrats Ballard
