Congrats on the win!! Congrats to Camron Justice MVP!!! We love you Cam!!!
Congratulations to the Vikings on a great performance. They played amazing basketball over the past 2 days. I would also like to congratulate the Virgie Eagles for a terrific effort. Neither team deserved to lose this game.

Also congratulations to Camron Justice who was MVP. (He has a chance to be a basketball star whose name will be known all around the state).

The other members of the All Tournament Team were as follows:

Johnny Miller - Feds Creek (could just have easily been named MVP. Very impressed)!
Patrick Coleman - Feds Creek (solid performance and had to guard guys a lot bigger than him. Good defender).
Christian Hagy - Feds Creek (very underrated player. Glad to see him get some recognition. Great kid as well).
Christian Taylor - Feds Creek (the X factor for Feds Creek. Showed lots of confidence and knocked down some huge shots).
Mason Bowling - Virgie (had a breakout performance in this tournament and showed some versatility and lots of heart. Great kid with a great attitude)!
Andrew Newsome - Virgie (tons of heart. Strong kid inside who will draw double teams every night in this county next year. Great kid as well).
Dalton Richardson - Virgie (tons of talent. As quick as any grade school player you'll see).
Cody Belter - Dorton (best true center in this county, in my opinion, in a long time. Great attitude. Will make a huge impact on the high school scene).
Owen Caudill - Dorton (explosive scorer who has tons of talent as well. Been a joy to coach him this year).
Jacob Skeens - Elkhorn (really played strong in this tournament, realizing himself that he is hard to contain one on one).
Michael Fields - Elkhorn (good point guard with a big heart and desire to win. Great defender)!
Joey Duty - Belfry (hard worker and a good kid).
Mac? - Johns Creek (great job controlling the ball and getting it where it needs to be).
?

*I am missing 1 person from the team. Can anyone help me with that name and the last name of the boy from Johns Creek (we didn't play JC this season, so I don't know all their players personally)?
1st Championship for Feds Creek snice the High School years. Be proud boys.
Real Badman Wrote:1st Championship for Feds Creek snice the High School years. Be proud boys.

Feds Creek can be proud of these boys. They showed a lot of heart in this tournament. We probably won't be hearing much from them tonight because they are having a big celebration.
The other All Tournament member was:

Cody Estep - Phelps (hard worker who helped keep his team in the game for the 1st half vs Elkhorn)
So what was the score?
Feds Creek 60 Virgie 50
50-60 feds creek:1:
both elkhorn boys that made all tourney team live in the Feds Creek area.
Nice job Feds Creek, it took a team effort to beat a very good Virgie squad. Both teams are well coached and were very fun to watch. Congrats to everyone at Feds Creek.

Thanks so much for the great pic of our boys. We are SOOOOO PROUD of what they have accomplished this year as a team. It goes to show with a lot of hard work and dedication that anything can be accomplished. Congrats boys on being the 2009-2010 Pike County Jr. High Boys Basketball Champions!!!!!!!!!!:1:
Congrats!!!
Congrats to Feds Creek! We miss you Cam.
I can't tell you how proud I am of my boys! Its been a LONG TIME COMING for Feds Creek!! We have built our program, paid our dues, and taken our beatings in the past to get here!!! I want to thank everyone who made this possible, the boys won the games on the court, but we have tremendous support from our community! Our enrollment for our school is small, but no one matched our crowd!! I want to take my hat off to the Virgie Eagles, perhaps the most accomplished basketball program in Eastern Kentucky, you brought your A GAME and took us to the limit! I am so glad both teams brought their best game and left it on the court!! I also want to thank the other schools who rallied behind us in the championship game! Dorton cheered with us, we had such wars this year!! We made some really good friends from that school, such nice people! Elkhorn City, our sister school and longtime rival, rallied to our side in the title game!! We put our rivalry aside and they supported us! Thank you so very much! I also want to thank my very good friend, Principal Lisa Hess from Kimper Elementary for coming to the game and cheering on our kids!! We sure did have a memorable celebration last night!! We had a Police escort, we our fire departments and rescue squads leading the way!! We had so many people standing in front of their homes waving and cheering us on through Grapevine and Feds Creek!! Coach Davis, I also want to thank some of your players for making the trip to Feds Creek and celebrating with us!! Our kids welcomed them with open arms!! A funny thing, I went to find our team to introduce them to the crowd, and guess where I found them and the Dorton players? In the gym playing basketball with each other!!! Only young kids can go play a tournament and then play pick up basketball at 2:00 AM!!! Anyway, a big time thank you to our players, fans, and supporters!!!!

I couldn't have said it better myself............CONGRATULATIONS to OUR boys...:1:
Wow!!! If the kids from Dorton cheered for Feds Creek and went back with them to celebrate .I think Virgie the kids from Virgie wouldn"t take that to good!I would not be happy if I was coach Davis!!! Can you say Shelby Valley!!Good job,Feds Creek!!!!!
It's people like you that causes such rivalry between kids... Coach davis teaches his boys more than just basketball.... He teaches them sportsmanship, respect, and class.... Had virgie been the winners and invited friends to celebrate with them like feds creek did i'm sure they would have celebrated with them as well.for your info, some virgie fans are well aware that some dorton fans cheered for them and will do so again... The people like you with some love for anger and jealousy need to fall thru the cracks . Seeme some of the children are more adult like than you......
Congrats to all our boys. You stuck together as a team and showed everyone what you are made of that is REAL Champions.

We have played the Wildcats more than any other team this year...Our boys have not only grown to respect them as players but to like them as people and even think of them as friends, which is as it should be...A friendly rivalry is all that is necessary to win...The hatred of a team is detrimental when playing that team (if you make a mistake you become overly emotional, NOT A GOOD THING) but the biggest effect is what that hate does to the kids themselves...I think these boys have it right and I wish the "ADULTS" in this instance would actually follow their lead! I cheer my heart out for the Vikings ( I love each and every child on the team, and they know it) and I have done eveything in my power as have Coach Justice and Coach Davis to foster friendship between the Wildcats as well as the Cougars, Mustangs, Cubs etc....WE ALL have to learn to lose with dignity as well as win with grace...Perhaps if it starts with the KIDS we, the "Adults" will follow...:please:
Magnet,
If they want to cheer for Feds Creek great but parents are to blame.Feds Creek won and that goods! If you live in a community pull for the same school or go to another one!!! Good job to all the coaches!!!!!!!!
Congrats FC on winning the county.:flame:
Listen, I hate so very much that people are upset with the Dorton players coming to our school after the game. If I would have known people would have been mad about that, I would have kept my big mouth shut. I was just trying to recognize them for good sportsmanship and to show that kids, even though playing against each other can be friends. I am quite sure they meant no disrespect toward Virgie, its just that we played against each other so many times, our kids developed friendships with each other. Rest assured, if Dorton had won the tournament, I would have been the FIRST ONE over to congratulate them and I am sure some of our boys would have been celebrating with them. I think its sad that some people won't let kids be kids and try to make a problem when there isn't one. You should be ashamed of yourselves for doing that!
I agree with you.If the Dorton players, cheerleaders and fans wants to cheer so much for Feds Creek let them enroll their kids there monday morning.Dorton is a feeder school to Valley and they should have cheered for Virgie. It wasn't all the fans but it was enough.Dorton's coach never should have let that go on.Doe Doe Rowe would have never let that happen or Danny Osborne either.shame on Dorton

good sportsmanship.if thats what you call it.a valley feeder school sitting there cheering for feds creek, are you kidding me.so,you expect the boys from virgie to go to valley and play with these boys who cheered against them and not think one thing about it.get real you have no ideal about virgie or dorton. No problem were there isn't one.

In our boys defense, It was never a number that coach referred to when we played Feds Cr or Virgie. It was always by first name usually, they were so familer with both teams.
It’s a great honor to have won the county championship. I would first like to say that I am very proud of my boys. These boys have worked hard for me this entire season. I would like to thank our principal Mr. Wallace, Feds Creek Elementary and all the parents for their tremendous support they have shown me and the boys this season. I also would like to thank all of the fans that have supported this program, who have followed us and gave us a great crowd every game. The fan support during the tournament was a key element in our success and I greatly appreciate it. During the tournament Coach May and Mr. Mercer showed great hospitality towards our school, and are class acts. Being a first year head coach I have encountered many coaches that I look up to and respect. Coach Davis and Coach Rowe both are excellent coaches, show great sportsmanship, and have excellent basketball programs. Playing those teams this season has made us all stronger. Thanks to everyone who has supported us.
I would like to say that I have been very proud of the Vikings all season. They have a done a terrific job and deserve to be the 2010 champions. They are all wonderful boys who I love very much. I think that Coach Justice is a great coach and had high expectations this season that have paid off very well. Yes coach we did have wonderful fans this year. I would like to see all of them in Lexington cheering these boys on this weekend. Our Vikings have done something this year that has never been done. This is the 1st Pike County Championship we have won and they should all be PROUD!!!! Coach Justice should be proud of hisself as well as far as I know no coach has ever came in and on their first year as head coach brought home the championship!!! Dorton has gave us lots of wonderful games this year. They have a great program and coach there. Each and every game we have played with them has had my nerves gone they have been close. I think that our:Thumbs::Thumbs: boys are so lucky to have them as friends. As for the previous posts it would not bother me a bit if all the players that came over last nite transfered schools on Monday. But those boys have been taught to win with class and lose with class which they do very well. They are a great bunch of boys. I extend my gratitude to them for coming last nite. For the people who are complaining about them coming over STOP IT!!! There is nothing wrong with them being friends with the Vikings. The Vikings have come along way this year. Virgie gave us a good game last nite. I am so glad that our boys came out on top.

Do you not realize the kids from Elkhorn were in the same situation? They have to go to East Ridge along with kids from Feds Creek and Millard and play. Dont you thik the kids from Millard or Elkhorn wanted to be in that championship game rather then Feds Creek? Theres nothing wrong with kids from other schools rooting for another school.
Seriously? Some of you are mad over Dorton players cheering for Feds Creek!? These kids are in middle school, and apparently have great sportsmanship. Some of you could learn a thing or two.
