Shaus also coached Purdue while Rick Mount played.
I remember him better for being WVU AD in the late 70's-early 80's. He gets credit for three major things at that job. Being the driving force for the new stadium, hiring Don Nehlen over Lee Corso, and the "Flying WV" logo.
