Looks like Holmes got there game on track early in this one and cruised in with a 20 point win. Avery again out, this game he was on the sidelines with a boot and crutches

At one point I was curious if BS would even get over 30 points... Holmes held them to 3 in the third quarter.

Holmes is adding depth as they go along. This team will be scary when March rolls around.

Agree with you, games earlier this season you would have 4 or 5 players scoring, now the last 3 games or so they have 9 or 10 getting in the action.

ouch...that hurts
the game seemed more intense than the score showed, but the dogs played a nice game. BS couldn't buy a bucket in the third. holmes small lineup can be very scrappy on defense.
and i must say EPs shot off the dribble has improved bunches over last year.

Holmes came out and made a statement in this game.
After a back and forth first quarter that ended with Herndon hitting a jumper at the buzzer to give Holmes a 15-12 lead, the Dogs outscored BS 28-8 over the next two quarters to send them in the fourth with a 43-20 lead.
Bryan Station never got closer than 19 the rest of the game and Hollmes led by as many as 26 (55-29) with 2 minutes to play. Bryan Station closed out the game on a 9-3 run against Holmes subs (Knox, Gray, Amison, D. Rice, Stephenson, and Reese) to give you the final of 58-38.
For Holmes, Pittman and Rice both looked tough tonight. When those two play the way they did down low tonight, there isn't a better front court in the state IMO. Rice got Evans in foul trouble in the second half by attacking the rim and he also held the 6'11 center for BS to just 2 points. Evans tried to get physical with Rice down low but he held his own.
Pittman did a great job on Barner and his length really frustrated him all night as he started settling for Jumpers late in the game after having a few shots blocked by EP. Bryan Station had NOBODY that could rebound with Pittman. He looked like a man among boys out there. Not sure if he reached double figures, but he had to have had every bit of 8 rebounds.
Holmes bench continues to progress and develop. JJ went out just 4 minutes in to the game in foul trouble and the combination of Mayfield, Hayes, McClendon, and Herndon stepped up and did a great job defensively in his absence. Their quickness frustrated the BS guards all night and it showed as their leading scorer, Fain, was held to just 3 points and Balfour 2 points. Those 4 aren't as dangerous offensively as the big 4 of Rice, Johnson Brothers, and Pittman but all 4 do the little things and play their role. Ricardo Johnson sat the last 3 minutes of the first half in foul trouble and Hayes came in and did a great job.
This was a very dominating performance by the Dogs and after this game, they've erased a lot of my doubts. They are finally starting to play more uptempo, attack the zone, play team ball, and go hard at both ends of the floor and it's paying dividends.
Holmes is slowly but surely finding itself and it's only a matter of time before they put it all together and start dominating every night out, like tonight.
Big game at Mason Co Sat should tell us even more about this team.
