You might call me crazy but I think Perry Central has the best starting five that has been in the 14th region in a long time along with JBS a few years ago. They have the vetern leadership with the 5 seniors starters and the shooter's in Noble and Martain, great point guard, low post player's in Salyers and Mullins, and the number one coach maybe in the eastern part of the state. All 5 players is good def. players and they all get along so well, just a great bunch of young men. Not knocking none of the other's teams in the region but look KCC has Stamper and Cox, Hazard Whitker, Bach, Buckhorn and Breathitt has a couple of good players but none can match up with Perry man for man night in and night out. Call me crazy, but looks like a winner to me.
Watched Perry play Shelby Valley last year. They have a good team.
Scott County.

I'm gonna go with Holmes as having the best starting 5 in the state.

One 1st team all state player- Elijah Pittman
One 2nd team all state player- Ricardo Johnson
One Honorable mention all state player- Jeremiah Johnson
One of the top 20 juniors in the state- Kevon Rice
One top 10 9th region player- Demetrius Avery

The Johnson Brothers and Pittman are 70-5 over the past two years as starters for Holmes.

Nobody in the state will be able to match their size IMO:

6'3 Demetrius Avery
6'5 Ricardo Johnson
6'5 Jeremiah Johnson
6'6 Kevon Rice
6'8 Elijah Pittman
I think the OP was talking about the 14th region.

Ah I see...should've made that more clear in the thread title.

Come on kwc01, don't you know that 75% of the threads in this forum are about the 14th and 15th unless Rose Hill screws up?
im gonna say Perry County Central with Jordan Amis and Chris Noble at guards and Korey Martin and Josh Salyers at Forwards and Tyler Mullins at Center

Maybe the rest of us should stay away from this board? or at least assume every thread is about the 14th, 15th region, or Rose Hill when responding?
Scott High
5'10 Haynes
6'0 Smith
6'4 Neideregger
6'5 Jones
6'9 O'Connor

l1. Keylo Jones is no where near 6'5. He's 6'3 at best....and that's being generous.
2. O'Conner isn't 6'9. He's in the 6'7-6'8 range.

Let's not over-exaggerate here.
Nobody in the state will be able to handle the Bulldogs defense:

6'3 Demetrius Avery
6'5 Ricardo Johnson
6'5 Jeremiah Johnson
6'6 Kevon Rice
6'8 Elijah Pittman

First time on site ~ glad to be on.

Oh, not so fast my friend. I've heard rumors that they decided to get back to the 70's with their style of play. Perhaps with these new Nike platforms the numbers may be underexaggerated.

I don't see too many teams scoring over 50 on Holmes.

I agree. Their size will make it extremely tough on opposing teams.

I was just giving it a scientific guess my friend...i bet half of these lineup's have wrong heights on them
Half These Rosters Are Probably Wrong On Their Heights Too
Peacedomes85 Wrote:I was just giving it a scientific guess my friend...i bet half of these lineup's have wrong heights on them

Very true.

A lot of teams/coaches exaggerate their players size just like in football.

I can assure you though that the lineup I listed is correct.

This is suppose to be the best starting 5 in the 14th region.

C. Martain 6'2
J. Salyers 6'4
T. Mullins 6'5
C. Noble 6'1
J. Amis 5'11

Pretty good size starting 5.

I think Breathitt County will match up with Perry and any other team in the region. Breathitt is loaded with talent and a senior class.

Make sure you specify that next time when you start a thread.

Try using the following thread title: "Best starting five:14th Region" or something along those lines.

6'3 Demetrius Avery
6'5 Ricardo Johnson

Just to big ---> Kevon might be 6' 7" :yikes:
