I know there are a LOT of prayer warriors on here and I wanted to get as many going as possible. This evening, my cousin's grandbaby was kicked in the face by a horse. They air lifted her to Cabell Huntington hospital where she is currently being seen by a plastic surgeon, a eye specialist, and a regular surgeon. Thus far her CT scan came back good but she has a broken orbital bone and severe lacerations above, below, and right at her eye. Her eyesight hasn't been checked but that will be done also tonight. This baby is only 7 years old and in the 2nd grade. She needs some serious prayers so please, just add a silent one for her tonight if you don't mind!!!

Prayer and love are the two most important tools the Good Lord gives us. May this little one be OK and taken care of by a great medical team. May she recover and be able to play and live as a little one should. Prayers are with you.

First off, thank you everyone for your kind words and prayers you are sending...
She is one very scared little girl. (She had went to help feed the horses and it was kind of just a freak accident. This is an older horse and had never done anything like this before. ) She is resting right now but does have a long road to recovery at this point. Possibly several different plastic surgeries to get her back to as normal as she will ever be. A positive: No brain swelling or injuries are noticed at this point nor are there any spinal injuries. It seems everything is confined to her face. Both above mentioned are both major blessings as she is a tiny little thing! Please continue to pray for her and I will keep you all updated as we find out what is going on with her!! Thanks again so very much from our entire family!!!!

Will forward this out to the faculty in Letcher County, to pray for her and to be put on the prayer requests at local churches that they attend..God help the family and this little girl to a full recovery...
UPDATE:
They aren't going to go surgery on her until the swelling goes down on her face. Possibly sometime today or tomorrow. They put some stiches in enough to hold it but can't do anything until the swelling reduces some. Please keep the prayers going for her and I do appreciate all the kind words and response. I have passed it along....... I will update again as soon as I hear anything different or something changes!!

It makes me even more sad when children are involved. I hope and pray that this little girl recovers fully and pray that god gives her the extra strength shen needs to be brave through this. I will keep her in mind. God bless.

UPDATE:
Talked with her grandmother last night. She is one tough little cookie I tell ya!!! She has to have a plate and screws put in her face due to the damage done to her orbital bone. They will be doing this surgery on Saturday morning. After that, they will be doing or rather starting the plastic surgeries on her on Monday. Just a sidenote that I found comforting ..... her papaw was praying with her and to be honest, was heartbroken over how bad she looks and started crying..... she put her little hands on the sides of his face and looked at him and said, "are you crying for me papaw?"... "I'll be okay, I promise".... This actually brought tears to my eyes knowing this little solider is as tough as she is!! Please keep them goin for her as she does have a long road to recovery!!! Thank you all once again from all of her family!!!
