this is rediculios. i have never seen a fine like this for talking about officials not even in NFL.
I can't think of a better coach to start with it. He's had the most to gain from the refs messing up the calls. I think that since the coaches cannot any longer say anything, that it is our duty as fans, imho, when the SEC mics to let you know how you feel about they're officiating. They can't fine us.
Though $30K is pretty hefty, not unprecidented. Mike Leach of Texas Tech got hit pretty heavy for the exact same thing.
