Pretty much as expected.
Yeah, I don't look at this one at all when thinking of what next week will be like. I'd be interested in when Scott scored and against which defensive squad. Next week is far from a given, if you ask me. Too many changes all around from week 1.

Scott actually scored against CC's first team D in the first quarter. Scott's QB was quite frankly running very well against CC. He didn't QB anymore after some point in the second quarter and it was all over from there.

Why did they take him out at QB?
Why would they take Sowder out at QB if he was running all over them?

I don't take much from this game. Quite frankly, anything less than a 4 TD win and I'd be concerned for CovCath's safety next week. I do wonder how Scott got 14 points. I didn't expect them to get any.

Brayden Erpenbeck rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown, and completed 13 of 16 passes for 117 yards and another touchdown as Covington Catholic easily handled visiting Scott 56-14.


Sophomore running back Gabe Gray started his first-ever varsity game and rushed 16 times for 140 yards and three touchdowns.

Scott got two touchdowns from quarterback Zach Sowder
