Allen Iverson is getting closer to joining the Grizzlies.

Iverson and Memphis owner Michael Heisley spent Saturday trying to arrange a face-to-face meeting. The development indicates that the guard is close to accepting the team's one-year offer, according to sources.

Iverson has yet to meet with Heisley because Memphis had been dealing solely with the guard's agent, Leon Rose, until now.

Iverson doesn't really help Memphis. They already have someone that wants the bulk of shots, OJ Mayo, and Iverson is well past his prime. Nice paycheck for AI though, good work if you can get it, haha.
