The Trail Blazers have declined to release contract terms, but Roy's agent said it's a five-year deal that could be worth more than $80 million.
Roy said he's wanted to continue with the team well into the future ever since his first year with the Blazers. He said he was "chomping at the bits" to get the new season started.
The 25-year-old Roy led the Trail Blazers with 22.6 points and 5.1 assists per game last season.
