Openoffice is practically identical to the newest Microsoft office suite except will even more features. It has a version of word, powerpoint, excel etc.. Same as the MS suite. For those who don’t already know, the Gimp is a powerful, open source image editing application that rivals Photoshop and Paintshop Pro. GIMPshop is essentially the same program with some cosmetic changes. Gimpshop is based on Gimp but has been designed to look and feel identical to photoshop. Whats the difference. About the only difference is photoshop cost you about 700 bux and gimpshop is free.


BTW, thetribe you should be particular interested in this one. I have converted from PSP to Gimpshop and Im loving it.


Also any of you that want to design avatars, resize images, photo editing, render images..whatever you need to do in regards to photo editing this will do it. You can add tons of effects to your photos.

What Is Gaim? Gaim will allow you to get rid of all your messengers. Instead of running 3 or 4 IMs.. you only have to run one. There is no ads. There are tons of cool themes and other stuff available for Gaim for free. The best feature is tabbed conversations. No more aggervating conversation screens popping up everywhere.

Gaim is a multi-protocol instant messaging (IM) client for Linux, BSD, MacOS X, and Windows. It is compatible with AIM and ICQ (Oscar protocol), MSN Messenger, Yahoo!, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, SILC, GroupWise Messenger, and Zephyr networks.

Gaim users can log in to multiple accounts on multiple IM networks simultaneously. This means that you can be chatting with friends on AOL Instant Messenger, talking to a friend on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time.

Gaim supports many features of the various networks, such as file transfer, away messages, typing notification, and MSN window closing notification. It also goes beyond that and provides many unique features.
