The senior catcher hit .514, drove in
55 runs, scored 56 runs and hit 12
home runs. He was named the Ninth
Region player of the year for the third
straight season and was named
Kentucky’s Mr. Baseball.

He led the Tigers to the Ninth
Region title, culminating in an upset
of top-ranked Covington Catholic

The senior first baseman hit .446
with 29 RBI and five home runs. He
also scored 23 runs.
Tyler Brake, Conner
The senior first baseman hit .488
with 35 RBI. He had four home runs
and 17 doubles.
Jeramie Connor,
Newport Central Catholic
The senior infielder hit .465. As a
pitcher, he went 5-1 with a 2.58 ERA.
Ronald Cotton,
Boone County
The junior center fielder hit .453,
scored 32 runs and stole 14 bases.
He also drove in 27 runs.
Ryan Darner,
Covington Catholic
The senior third baseman hit .460
and drove in 62 runs. He also hit five
home runs.
Daniel Hammons, Ludlow
The senior pitcher went 6-3 with a
4.48 ERA and one save. He struck out
111 in 50 innings. He also hit .351
and scored 21 runs.
Nick Hiller, Scott
The senior right fielder hit .514 and
scored 29 runs. As a pitcher he struck
out 41 in 24 innings.
Zach Isler,
Covington Catholic
The senior pitcher and first baseman
was 12-0 with a 1.22 ERA. He
also hit .395 with 45 RBI.
Hunter Jones, Bellevue
The junior shortstop was one of the
top defensive players in the area. He
also hit .593 with seven home runs
and 32 RBI, scoring 42 runs and
stealing 20 bases.
Daniel Lokesak,
Boone County
The senior right fielder hit .397,
stole 33 bases and scored 36 runs.
He also drove in 27 runs.
E.J. Murray, Scott
The senior shortstop was named
the 10th Region player of the year. He
hit .443, scored 35 runs and drove in
24 runs.
Andy Roenker, Holy Cross
The junior pitcher went 6-0 with a
1.46 ERA. He struck out 56 in 48
innings, walking just 13.
A.J. Smith, Beechwood
The senior pitcher went 4-0 with
three saves in the regular season,
striking out 48 in 34 innings and
posting a 0.82 ERA.
