Another local boy does good!!!Some of you may not be familiar with Alex Wilson. Alex played at Hurricane High School in West Virginia. He was a teammate of one of my son's and to a few other local eastern Kentucky kids on his summer travel team, The Huntington Hounds. Some of his other local teammates were Justin Moore, Tyler Gatrell, Adam Blanton, Steve Blevins, CJ Wamsley and Brandt Spears. This team was also the NABF World Series national runnerups as 16 year olds. Every starting pitcher on this team went on to either be drafted or to commit and be recruited by a major D1 school. Alex originally signed with Winthrop University where he was named the National freshman pitcher of the year. That season he lead the nation with 13 wins in a very tough conference.

Congratulations to Alex. Wow the Sox!!!
