What an incredible upset. After Lexington Christian lost, I figured the State title was for Cov Cath's taking. Tremendous lost opportunity from one of the states best teams.
That is taking nothing away from Beechwood. This team battled througout the Regional tournament. Not getting a stellar performance from D1 pitcher AJ Smith against Conner, the Tigers gave the ball to Senior Nate Snyder, who had only pitched three games all season and his last appearance was over 3 weeks ago. What an accomplishment for a team that started three Sophomores and three Freshman.

beechwood sophmore ben studer, #20 i believe? scored the go ahead run as a pinchrunner, that kid can flat out fly, i heard he has a decent arm also, after his tommy john surgery
