New man at the helm. Bell has put David Teague as the new coach. My source has told me that he was on the staff for the last two years. Before that four years with the boys program under Eddie Whitaker.

Good move by Bell. Good guy and better than that a good coach. He gets the best out of his athletes in what ever he has coached.

Great hire for the Lady Cats. Coach Teague has really earned this opportunity. He has worked very hard at being a great assistant coach and will be a great head coach. I am glad we are giving him the chance this time. I was afraid he was going to get away to another school.

The Even Better news is that Coach Teague is a wizard at working with point guards. Everybody on the tenn-Ky border knows he was directly responsible for developing the Pineville smith kid (3rd scorer in the state) credit it all to him as well He also worked with them and taught the young ladies from our frakes clear creek area into the best defensive players they could possibly become. Our girls went undefeated in grade school ball and was not even moderatley challenged the year coach david had then all together. There is little doubt that this was a no-brainer for A.D.Dudley hilton and Principle saylor.

Yes Coach teague was an excellent choice,
A lot of the girls that refused to play and did not like
former coach young and her assistant ms. brock
Have returned to the team and seem very happy and
excited about the upcoming season and that my
friends this is refreshing news for Bell county basketball and
everbody i spoke with on this matter with is in agreement no
other outside apointment ot hiring would have had
such an impact. Will this translate in wins. maybe not
right away but if given time yes. keep in mind that the
former Coach and her assistant ran away or simply had quit
through there overzealous mannerisms
Some very excellent talent to sister schools. Coach teague is very well
liked and respected in the community and had
already earned the currents players trust and friendship.
The lady cats only lost one senior and everybody else back
and have back there leading scorer jamie shepherd
which is known for either having simply great
games or just plain terrible games and hardly ever an in-between.
Her eratic play has been blamed on the bad attitude and loudness of
the outgoing staff. And with a calmer & cooler no no-nonesense
but more so a common sense approach type coaching at the
helm it should very well should settle her down for a productive
season and if the cats finish 50-50 that would suffice the critics and
the bell county faithful.
