Glad to see Conley back out on the mound tonight. Looked like he hasn't missed a beat. 5 innings, 1 hit shutout baseball. Letcher gets 3 runs to take the lead in the 6th after Conley's departure. Vanhoose comes in for the 7th and 8th and holds LCC. Conley drove in the tying run in the bottom of the 7th to send the game to extras. Caleb Sloan lays down a (walk-off) squeeze bunt in the 8th to end the game.
Tough game for LC, but I think this will help them. You really don't know what kind of team will show up. I hope they end the year strong to get them ready for tournament time.
Looked like a dandy of a game.

Who is Sloan? Is this a new kid.

That would be Caleb Sloan. He played baseball all through little league. Started on all the all-star teams that he played on. He quit baseball when he started high school. Not really for sure what the reason but decided to go back out this year. He is a junior.
