I didn't want to jinx Pikeville --- but sounds like they have found their groove and are playing some good baseball.:rockon:
Great game by the Panthers. They really should have won this one by more, they struggled capitalizing on the hits early. Huffman and Cecil pitched a great game. Patrick Keene had a great night at the plate as did many Panthers with Harmon going yard. All in all the Panthers had about 14 or 15 hits. While defensively they held the cougars to 1 run on 3 hits with one error. Pikeville is playing very, very well right now and their young guys are really stepping it up. Gavin Miller is playing very well, a well as Steven Layne, Clark Keene, and Taylor Ratliff. This group is starting to mesh.
LCC played a very good game as well, and they are a nice, solid ball club. I really enjoyed the field. Its dimensions are perfect for high school baseball. The field looked sharp and well taken care of. The whole hill was beautiful. Best of Luck to the Cougs the rest of the year. And GO PANTHERS!
