The Pamplemousse won't run in nextmonth's Kentucky Derby, although the colt's racing career isn'tover. The Pamplemousse was scratched because of a tendon problem hoursbefore Saturday's $750,000 Santa Anita Derby, in which he was the9-5 morning line favorite. Pioneerof the Nile went on to win by alength.
