Cougars where killed by errors (3) and walks....... Pitching waasn't terrible minus the walks as they only gave up 4 hits but with 3 errors and another bloop that should have been caught with runners all on base due to walks cougars got down early........ Shocked about LCC's inability to locate..... 3 of their 4 best pitchers where unavalible though.... In Brock, Sexton, and Watts...... Also I don't know if I'm a beliver in the one pitcher one inning thing Letcher was trying to do seems like they would have wanted to stay in the game instead of giving it away in th 5th when they brought in the 8th grader....
Because scrimmages are played to work on certain things..of course winning the game would have been nice, but that is not why you play scrimmages. LCC had a gameplan to use 1 pitcher every inning regardless of the situation. Just a miserable game for LCC all around...So be it, now let's get ready for the season! Best of Luck to Montgomery!
