No. 17 Franklin-Simpson 55, Barren County 24 (4th): Chastity Gooch had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lady Wildcats in the 14th Region title game at Western Kentucky University.
Franklin-Simpson jumped out to a 33-10 lead by halftime and coasted through the second half for the victory.
The Lady Wildcats will return to Diddle Arena on Wednesday to meet the 6th Region champion in the first round of the Sweet Sixteen. No. 6 Iroquois and No. 20 Butler will play for the 6th Region title Saturday night.
Jamie Cummings had eight points and nine rebounds to lead Barren County.
