A construction blast damaged a Wal-Mart and injured three people.

A construction zone near the Hazard Wal-Mart sent rocks and debris crashing through the store's roof.

Customers said it sounded like a bomb went off.

"We heard a noise, and I first thought it was an earthquake, and I started looking toward the front and could see the stuff coming out of the ceiling," said Teresa Deaton, a customer.

I heard the noise and the shake, and I really thought it was bullets, gunshots... I thought about terrorists. You think about everything these days," said Wanda Lee, a customer.

One customer and two employees were hurt, but no one was seriously injured.

The store is temporary closed, but will reopen Thursday at noon.

Mines and Mineral officials said the site beside Wal-Mart is being blasted by American Blasting out of Lafollete, Tennessee. The company was once suspended but is currently up to date on its permits.

I heard about this on the news the other day!!!!
That's crazy....you'd think if they were going to be blasting they would close the store for that time to prevent anyone from getting hurt in case debris hit the store....
