Nice win for Belfry. This score surprises me a little.
Congrats Belfry
Looks like the Pirates may be in the drivers seat for #1 seed.....
Let me correct my self Belfry only beat them by 4 and Phelp beat Belfry by 6, Only Pike Ct. could change things...
Yeah,
I'm not positive but if Phelps beats Pike Central they get first seed.
But not completely sure.
Yes, Belfry had to beat Phelps by more than 6.... SO... as of right now Phelps will hold the 1 seed if they beat Pike Central....

It is not always decided by point spread, sometimes it is decided by who wins the second game. It depends on what the district or region decides before the season. Two years ago, Belfry girls and Pike Central girls split with Belfry winning the first 62 - 49 and Pike Central winning the second 62 - 59, yet Pike Central got the #1 seed because they won the second game. With that being said, I do not know which way they decided this year.

From what I understand it's points.... I heard several people on both sides saying that they had to beat Phelps by a score of 6+

Thanks for the info, that's how it should be...the only down-fall is that it encourages running up the score, but it's still better than the other option.

is all this now moot since the 59th & 60th are combined this year??
HORNET POWER Wrote:is all this now moot since the 59th & 60th are combined this year??

I was wondering the same thing Hornet Power. I think they are still using the 59th and 60th districts for seeding purposes in the super-district.
The #1 seeds get first round byes;
#2 (59th) vs. #3 (60th) the loser is eliminated and the winner plays #1 (60th); #2 (60th) vs. #3 (59th) the loser is eliminated and the winner plays #1 (59th);
Then the two winners play for the #1 and #2 seeds and the two losers play for the #3 and #4 seeds.

If I am wrong on this please correct it. I would like to know also.
