Male High School All-America football player Justin Green admitted to changing his mind several times in the final days of the recruiting process.
So Green finally "just went with my heart" and at least an opportunity to play on offense.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back/defensive back had been committed to Ohio State for seven months but switched his pledge and signed yesterday with the University of Illinois and will start out on offense.
"It's been wearing on me for some time now," Green said. "I just had to follow my heart and just do what was best for me."
Green said the Illini had been in the mix since the beginning of the recruiting process and noted the University of Kentucky was also a viable option until sometime Tuesday evening, saying "Joker Phillips came at me hard."............
