Dixie Heights 55, Lexington Lafayette 53: Freshman Zeke Pike scored off an assist from sophomore Matt Trammel with 7.8 seconds remaining in regulation to send Dixie Heights into the championship game of the Kenton County Basketball Classic at Simon Kenton.

Lafayette had the ball with 1:25 to play and attempted to hold for a final shot, but Trammel came up with a steal and called timeout with 25.6 seconds remaining.

Pike and senior Mitch Boese each scored 13 points for the Colonels, who overcame a 17-0 run by Lafayette in the second quarter. Boese made three 3-pointers in the second half as Dixie Heights rallied after trailing by as many as nine points. Trammel had seven assists to go along with six rebounds and seven points.

Tanner Napier of Lafayette led all scorers with 17 points, including making five 3-pointers.
