Final
Boone County coach Greg McQueary wasn't particularly pleased with how the No. 2-ranked team in The Enquirer's Northern Kentucky coaches' poll played. The Rebels (9-2) committed 24 turnovers, matching a season high. In fact, the last time Boone County committed that many turnovers, it suffered the 73-68 overtime loss to Trinity in the Republic Bank Holiday Classic in Lexington.

"With four players who can handle the ball, I thought (ball protection) would be a strength for us coming into the season," McQueary said. "But we're struggling with it. We've got a lot of work to do."

Said Gabbard: "Coach said he was proud of us because even though we played bad, we still found a way to win. Good teams find a way to win."
