Would you want a 4.6 or even a 4.5 running back with slower lineman. Or would you take a 4.7, 4.8 back with a line with 5.0 or 4.9 speed.

Personally i believe i would take a 5 flat line because with those 4.8 backs, your bound to get a little meat on the bones, which means they should finish off their runs hard

Yeah but the biggest diffence in those lineman and the 4.9, 5.0 lineman that you are most likely to see in high school is going to be about 100lbs. I was a 4.9 lineman as a sophmore guard. I only weighed 215lbs. Wing T and i pulled alot. Of course as i went on and played linebacker and tight end as i got a little faster.

How about your backs? How did they run?

I agree, Wing-T you need guards that can move. But the point I was making is that faster lineman is what I'd rather have. Now, if you got some big lineman that can move, well, your going to move the ball on people no matter what kind of offense you run and your backs don't have to be blazing fast.

I agree. Also if you have extemely fast backs and slow lineman the backs will have to slow down to keep from out running the blocks.
Team speed is better off..where the lineman can get off their blocks and make some big play changing performances by their backs..downfield blocking can determine whether the run breaks for a TD or not..so i agree with the team speed
