Looks like we're totally dependent on that water-borne route...

This was all we needed....
yeah...its gettin to the point where all your working for is money for gas.this is some messed up stuff!
Remember the movie "Oil Storm" on FX.... Sad

But Bush might open up the reserves which will help a lot 8)
i sure hope they do something, at the rate its goin we will be payin 4-5 dollars a gallon very shortly.
Well it was rumored that during the summer gas would hit 5 dollars a gallon and it didn't but right now gas IS over 3 dollars in some places..

Look for it to be around $3.19+ by morning...
Beef hate to say this but I dont think bush will do a damn thing about opening up the reseves. When we pay more for gas he gets more money so hes loving every minute of it.
Exactly football.
At least someone here sees it the same way I do.
Bush and Cheney both are making money from oil and gas prices. I see nothing but inflation on the prices. Watch the movie Fahrenheit 9/11. You will see.
Yea, bush can do what he wants with gas prices b/c he gets his ass in an airplane and escorted everywhere he goes and doesnt pay for anything.....Bush can raise it to whatever he wants b/c he knows we will have to pay for it b/c we need it...
Well...it's under high consideration...

Its a wonder some idiot hasnt tried to assasinate him already...I am looking to hear about it any day in the news....
Yeah....that would be a good idea since the national unemployment rate is LOWER than it was at the height of the Clinton Admin. Sure, gas prices are up (and I hate it as much as you) but how do you expect gas prices to stay at the same price over 10 years when everything else is going up. It's basic inflation. The US has one of the lowest gas prices still! I don't know if we were lucky that it didn't just slowly rise over the years or if we just had a bif jump like this to make up for it. It was bound to happen one day, the price of everything goes up.
I know what your saying, but I think we could pull out of the war and be fine....I mean soldiers are getting killed every single day and you still hardly hear of any progress all you hear about is killings on the news...and gas prices going up every single day
I agree.. Bush and Cheney are getting even richer... they know we have to have gas and they can charge whatever they want to..Bush owns oil companys so the higher the price for oil the happier he gets
Pulling out of the war is NOT and good idea......cause then you are just allowing Iraq to be taken back over the terrorists and they will have control to do harm again. Plus you are telling the famlies or the already killed soldiers that their loss was for nothing because the mission wasn't complete.

And I'm betting that a lot of the soliders don't want to come home till they complete their mission because over there they get to see all the good and help that they are doing or citizens.
That is true, BUT I would say some of them would love to get the heck outta there and just wont admit it...

one thing sure isnt going up, peoples salary, sure the unemployment rate is down, but how many jobs created by this bush administration are really quality jobs? we can argue all day about this but we will never get anywhere. if your a republican you think everything is great and all is right with the world, if your a democrat then its the worse its ever been. thats the way it always been and the way it will always be. IN MY OPINION this country is on the verge of disaster if something isnt done to fix, whether its a democrat or a republican means nothing to me just something needs to be done. now i dont want to set and argue about what can be done, if i knew i wouldnt be sittin here in my old house up in the head of this holler i be somewhere i could make a difference, all i can do is trust that the man this country elected will find the strength and wisdom he needs through the GOOD LORD above to guide him. i know i wouldnt want to be in his shoes. Yup...some would...but that's why I put a lot and not all 8)

Right after you watch Fahrenheit 9/11, watch FahrenHYPE 9/11 and it will change your mind quickly. While not everything Michael Moore filmed was false, the majority of it was. It even shows that some of the people interviewed in Fahrenheit 9/11 were tricked into doing interviews.

As far as the Bush situation goes, I think he is gaining a lot from the oil industry, but I don't think he has as much to do with the crude oil prices as we may think. I used to think otherwise. I think if he wouldn't have started this war and made such waves in the middle east the gas prices wouldn't be skyrocketing as high. It's all about supply and demand these days....

We're just going to have to change our entire way of life because there's nothing we can do about it.

Man 3 dollars is to high, When I first started driving it was like $1.09
That's the Problem Mr. I....everyone wants there to be changes but noone (including myself) knows what can be done to make the changes.
i know one thing... i would like to punch Bush in the face.... and there ya go BIG BROTHER i went and said it...lol
So how is it Bush's fault? I mean really. Is it because of the War? Didn't Kerry vote FOR the war? Therefore we would still be in the same situation. And I bet when right after 9-11 that all of you wanted revenge too (aka WAR)...so you just have to take what it has brought us to get revenge for all the victims of 9-11.

Go listen to the country song "Have You Forgotten"....because it seems that some against the war have PDT_034 :x
I realize that this is probably a Republican v. Democrat here with views...but all people do is complain. What is there to fix it?

Plus I like to see what I know and how well I can defend my view 8)
no i aint gettin into Rep or Dem argument. But Bush said before we wouldnt be in Iraq this long and he said gas prices wouldnt get this high. he said back early last year.
so piss on him.
Oh..guess things didn;t go as planned.
Things sure aren't what was planned.
Something has to be somewhere and it depends on the political parties I know about how people view the situation. Personally, I see nothing that we are accomplishing by still being in Iraq BUT raising gas prices.
I blieve that we have already accomplished our Iraq goal. to institute a new government. But we can't just leave now when it is a baby. Your parents didn't leave you to fend for yourself right after you were born.
