Laura Perkins of Shelby Valley continued her streak of medaling in the AA State Triple Jump, placing 2nd with a jump of 35 feet 5 inches. This is the 4th straight year she has medaled and she is a junior. 8th grade year she placed 8th, 9th grade year she placed 5th, 10th grade year she placed 4th, and this year 2nd. Hopefully she can continue the streak next year of improving every year with a 1st place medal.
Laura also finished 5th in the Long Jump with a jump of 16 feet 5 inches in her first year in this event.
