Derrick Rose retires after 16 seasons in the NBA. He was on the Memphis Grizzlies roster, and had requested to be released and the Grizzlies granted that.

What started out to be a sure fire hall of fame career, becoming the youngest (and still is) to win an MVP in 2011, was derailed by some terrible injuries to his knees, which really took away from his style of play, but that style of play was also why he stayed injured.

IMO his career is the biggest "what if" in NBA history. You think of players like Grant Hill, Tracy Mcgrady just to name a few, but Rose was propelled for stardom and putting Chicago back on the map.

Now here's the question, is he a hall of famer?

Congrats on a great career, congrats on retirement and enjoy it!
