Going with Taylor County talk to a fine young man from there yesterday at the EKU game he was there on a visit and he sit and listened to this old man ramble on so good luck to him and his teammates
Taylor County is coming off a beating from Boyle, but not all losses are bad and some good things came out of that game I’m sure. It may sound weird to say with the score being 48-3 but Taylor County really didn’t look that bad, most all of Boyles points came in 2 quarters, being the 2nd and 4th quarter. Both Wayne and Taylor counties are pretty good teams for their class. This should be a good physical game with the chance for both teams to make a statement and fight for 2nd place in the district. I feel like if Taylor County can get their offense and run game going with #21 Smith they can win by a few TDs, as Taylor’s defense is pretty good and should be able to limit Wayne. Looking forward to this one!

Taylor- 31
Wayne- 14
I haven't gotten to watch Wayne play a game yet, but their stats and scores in KHSAA look fairly impressive to me. Aside from the loss to Mercer at the beginning of the year, Taylor is right about where I figured they would be. Battle of the cards... I think I'll take the Taylor County Cards in this one, but it'll be a close one as Dumphord for Wayne is special and Taylor's QB play is subpar at best.

Taylor 31
Wayne 21
Put the rankings aside and this could be the GOTW across the state. Both teams are pretty evenly matched.

Taylor Co. 27
Wayne Co. 24
Taylor County 42 Wayne County 28..
Taylor's speed wins this one 42-14
I think this one will be closer than most seem to expect. I'm going to go Taylor 38 Wayne 35

Boyle only scored 6 points in the 4th. quarter and that was the JV.

I do agree Taylor is not a bad team. I expect them to win Friday.

Give me Wayne 42-38.

Big game from Dumphord, Pitman, and Lee. Wayne’s QB is finally starting to settle in, and has got more comfortable every game. This game has shootout wrote all over it. Best of luck to both teams.
Unless Taylor suffers a colossal mental meltdown like it seemed they did last season, almost total team meltdown with their star players, Taylor will roll past Wayne. I don't see this one being a game.
