No love for the Blackcats, we love Betsy Layne's QB and that offense can be electric but for compare and contrast they haven't been exactly playing Prestonsburg, Breathitt Co, Somerset, etc.

I think Brewer and the Blackcats squeeze out a close one here, but no doubt betsy lane is hitting on all cylinders right now. With this being at Betsy Lane the Blackcats will have to come out and starting punching fast.

The battle for Floyd County. I'll go with P-burg in the upset.

Honestly, it's hard for me to predict the outcome of this game. Both teams have great records going into to Friday night, but really neither team has played anyone that I would consider to be a good team. If we look at schedules, the Blackcats have played a tougher schedule, but their lone blemish comes at the hands of a bad Paintsville team. Betsy Layne is undefeated but with their schedule, an average or slightly below average team could be undefeated. They are beating up on everyone, but when your best win is Floyd Central, and your beating teams like Knott and Fairview it makes you question the Bobcats overall strength. I feel like Betsy Layne will have trouble stopping Prestonsburg's rushing attack, and Prestonsburg will have trouble stopping Betsy Layne's athletes on offense. I look for a hard fought game, which could go either way, but as long as Prestonsburg doesn't turn the ball over multiple times, their running game will eventually wear down the Bobcats. Prestonsburg - 40 Betsy Layne - 28.

Wow. Hard to pick against that. Pburg has been down and BL has had their chance in recent years and couldn’t make it happen. I’m going to take Pburg in this one.

Betsy Layne would’ve beat them by 60+ two years ago first game of the season but PBurg cancelled due to Covid a couple days before the game. I’d love to have seen our chances that game.

Should be a fun game and great environment Friday night.

Should definitely be a good night on the hill. If I was anyone planning to attend this game, get there early or you'll be parking down the hill on the 4-lane and walking the hill.  I wouldn't be surprised if they ran a short bus and made folks park at the middle school and ride over like they did for the baseball tournament.

BL finally gets a win against Pburg. 46-24

The physicality of the Blackcat rushing attack wears down Betsy Layne in the 4th quarter and Brewer's crew squeeze out a close victory, 28-21.

P Burg just down too much this year to overcome this Betsy Layne team. I know we’ve seen past BL teams start out 5-0 or 6-0 just to have their schedule expose them but I don’t think that’s the case this year. BL seems to have a solid football team this year.
