Does Sperry still play for Breathitt? Don't think he got a yard against a very bad Perry squad.

Bobcats better figure something out quick or this is going to be a long year with the schedule they have. There’s a big difference between toughness and undisciplined. Bobcats average 4 or 5 personal fouls a game.

Both QB’s made big time plays   Just because they didn’t throw a ton of touchdowns , they both played very well. Slone had to have over 200 passing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns, Stacy passed for a td and probably had 140 passing yards.  They both controlled game very well

Sperry may as well not play!!!!!!!!

Breathitt football is embarrassing!!!!

Congrats Dores! It was actually a decent high school football game to watch. These two teams are actually a little better than what most give them credit for. Perry has playmakers on offense and kilburn will beat you deep. Slone is a dandy QB. Jackson runs the football hard. I like Gibson from Breathitt and #4. Sperry was doubled all night. But those 2 had a great game. Are these guys gonna make it to kroger…Not even close, but by the end of the season I see Breathitt in a regional finals and Perry possibly winning a playoff game. These 2 teams NEED to learn discipline before they make it there though or they are gonna beat themselves. Perry was undisciplined in the 1st half and Breathitt the 2nd. I heard one of Breathitts coaches ripping them afterwards so I’d say to start next week it’ll be a few extra wind sprints after practice.

Perry not having Marcus Robinson on that D line was a big loss, Breathitt ram the ball right up the gut all night and that’s typically where Marcus would be, not saying Breathitt still wouldn’t have been successful, but he would have made a huge difference in the run game.

Please be careful about negative comments toward a student athlete.

Another poor performance for Breathitt. The secondary is horrible, more stupid penalties, no kicking game, best playmaker makes ZERO impact, no adjustments after the half, poor substituting, etc etc. Bobcats pretty much had all these tonight. When this happens your going 2 lose. On offense line up in the dang wishbone and run the ball. You had more success last year in bone than anything. I've never accused Kyle of playing Daddy/ Momma Ball but last night I saw a few players who had no business being on the field while more capable players were on sideline. With the high expectations of this team they have to be the biggest disappointment in 2a. Very down on my Bobcats.


Plus last weeks running clock loss to Belfry looks way worse after they were blew out by GRC.

Jackson/Breathitt Co. is like much of E Ky.  Coal being killed by the government has caused a lot of the motivated people that want to work to leave.  So, you are left with a huge number of people that live on government programs.  They don’t vote for or demand high quality schools and programs.  

The glory days boys are calling all the shots, and they will until the state or FBI comes in and displaces them for a year or so, and a new bunch of crooks or old recycled ones take over.  But don’t hold your breathe for……..change.

The only people who had “high expectations” were the 1500 people in Jackson, film crew, and coaches.  

Not sure who the better players on the sideline would be, please elaborate. 

Anyone have the the stats on penalties? Seemed like a personal foul/PI every series.

I'm not going 2 name the kids who should be in but watch the game 2 come 2 mind very quickly. Also not to mention any names but if I were Kyle Moore a certain starter would be off the team or at very least suspended for next game. This is 2 weeks in a row he has had bone headed plays. The personal foul on late punt return was horrendous. Also horrible clock management in that last drive, no sense of urgency and poor use of time outs.
As far as expectations go you return the entire team pretty much from a team that was a bad away from Regional champs. You expect at least as good result the following year.
Plus rightfully or wrongfully (wrongfully my eyes) this sophomore class has been called the best class since the John Radar, Waylon Chapman, shorty combs group that won the 1st title at breathitt as seniors. Personally I disagree but I saw a better team than has been fielded so far.
As far as Coach Moore he built up a lot of security be leading the bobcats to Rupp last year so I dont see his job being in jeopardy. Should it be?

I kept reading all these post about how good Breathitt was gonna be this year. I think BC fans are like Lawrence county fans. It’s been so long since you’ve seen a good team you don’t know what one looks like. Maybe next year

I couldn’t agree more with American Rebel. EKY is dying. No big coal jobs anymore, hard working families are fewer, and no one coming home that disciplines their children either. I know we all talk about teachers and coaches disciplining kids but that starts at home as well. American rebel hit it right on the head. In the future I do see Sperry getting back there and taking some snaps and running the ball. I know most of you are disappointed in the Breathitt team but it’s a long season. I’m telling you that your bobcats will more than likely play for a regional title and possibly make it to a state semi final game. Their schedule is gonna help them to that. Hopefully they stay healthy through it. The loss of #5 really hurts them. I thought he was pretty solid coming out of the backfield and catching the ball and had the speed to break it. Coach Moore just needs to get creative and get Sperry that ball 10 times a game. On the tv prrry don’t look huge but when you walk by those guys they are massive. One of the bigger Perry teams I have seen in a long time. Perry beat them last year and I feel that when Breathitt kinda started to turn on and play better as they got the win against hazard after that. So this year, we shall see again.

Not sure how a sweet 16 bball appearance is related to football at all?  Maybe you could start a team up Bethany and run the bone. WCW- Wolfe County Wolves  

Each year is an entirely different team.   If the coaches and kids don't put in the work.. it shows on friday nights.     

"Sophomore class has been the best class since 95"  who has ever claimed that? Zero college prospects and not a single player running under a 4.75.

Should have been years ago, but he won’t.  Breathitt has no sense of team. Sperry is afraid of contact.  If he’s close to being hit he drops the ball.

Sorry I haven’t memorized the rules West Side. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Breathitt probably be 2-0 if I Sperry played QB. Could do whole lot with his feet. I’m sure he can sling a ball sidearm as good as anyone in the have on the team now. Don’t got to be pretty.
